Ram Charan Teja and Kajal starrer Magadheera is not going to release in April as planned earlier. The movie is in the last leg of shooting. Post-production work is being done simultaneously Yet, the movie is pushed to May release as the producer Allu Aravind felt that this big-budgeted movie will have good impact at Box-office if it is released after the polling schedule completes.
Now Andhra Pradesh is gripped with election fever and all the big stars are also in the elections fray. Today the real drama is happening off the screen. So who would care for films? Hence, Magadheera is postponed to May 1st week release.

Jr. NTR to begin Bobbili Puli soon?
The latest rumour in Tollywood says Junior NTR will soon begin the remake of his grandfather N.T. Rama Rao's super hit Bobbili Puli (1982), once he completes his first-ever political campaign for Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which was kicked off at Ichapuram on the Orissa-Andhra Pradesh border on Thursday. Notably, Bobbili Puli played an important role in his grandfather NTR’s political entry and growth.
Will the remake of Bobbili Puli be a turning paint in Jr. NTR's career?
Bobbili Puli was scripted and directed by veteran Narayana Rao Dasari, who recently won the NTR National Award. Junior NTR Jr. recently met Dasari Narayana Rao at his residence to express his congratulations on winning the NTR award and to discuss about the remake. If the reports are to be believed, Bobbili Puli's remake will again be directed by Narayana Rao Dasari.
Bobbili Puli was produced by eminent producer Vadde Ramesh (father of Vadde Naveen) under the banner of Vijaya Madhavi Combines. Sridevi was cast opposite NTR, while Kongara Jaggaiah played a key role; music was by J.V. Raghavulu. Bobbili Puli was about a war hero who returns to his home town only to find society in a mess. He tries to repair the society in his own way and ends up getting hanged.

Ram Charan enjoyed with Deepika Padukone
After Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu who have appeared in soft drink commercials, it's Ram Charan Tej’s turn to join Interestingly, he’s the third member of the Chiranjeevi family to be seen endorsing a soft drink. And our guess is he'll soon be doing beauty soaps and creams! But first, the bubbling news. When we called to confirm, Ram expressed amazement and seemed impressed with our networking. Finally, he conceded, "It was just a few hours of work but I enjoyed the unique experience," sounding still surprised.
Working with Deepika Padukone was an experience, he shared. "I had watched Om Shanti Om and liked her work so it was easy to go along. She’s made it big in Bollywood despite beginning her career in the South," he said. Is it true that the shoot was done in Mumbai and not Hyd? Charan confirmed the news but dismissed any allusion we made to ego issues and star status since he had to fly down and she didn't come here. He said, "It's elegantly shot and it's going to look sleek." Well, all we know is that, here's a jodi we'd love to see sizzle on Telugu cinema

The new Pepsi Brand Ambassador – Ram Charan Teja
Replacing the stronghold place of Chiranjeevi, his junior Ram Charan Teja has now been signed up as the brand ambassador to endorse Pepsi in Andhra Pradesh.
Statistics derived says that in India, Thums Up is still the market leader in the states of AP, West Bengal and parts of UP. Megastar of Telugu cinema and the now leader of Praja Rajyam party, Chiranjeevi was once the iconic signature of Thums Up and his endorsement influenced the sales largely in those times.
To break into the market, PEPSICO has roped in Ram Charan and he is going good so far campaigning for the youngistaan ads. The company has hired Chiru’s brother Pawan Kalyan and even his nephew in the past to increase the sales but all turned out vain with their competitors reigning in the state.
But, in reality the manufacturers are still not aware of a fact that why people love Thums Up over other colas, in this era of Pepsi and Coke. Among different colas, Thums Up is the only drink that has a spicy flavor which has found patrons in these particular regions.
It would be good if they understand that it’s not because of the endorsers but the product. For now, we will have to wait and see if Ram Charan would live up to his father’s name.

Dil Raju's 'Maro Charithra' begins on 19th
The black and white film 'Marocharithra' (1979) starring Kamal Haasan and Saritha was directed by veteran director K Balachandar. The story of true love that blossoms between a Tamil boy and a Telugu girl was portrayed so beautifully and touching on screen which made it a big hit in the time. Again, it was remade in Hindi titled 'Ek Duje Keliye' (1981) which was the debut film in Bollywood for Kamal, Rathi Agnihotri (in Saritha's character) and SP Balasubramaniam (Singer). The most famous romantic songs like 'Eh thiga poovunu Ee komma' in Telugu and which is 'Tere Mee Bechume' in Hindi were the biggest classic hits of all time.
The Telugu and Hindi versions of the film ran for complete 365 days in Hyderabad about three decades ago.
For the younger generation, the newer version will be presented in a modernized style starring young actor Varun Sandesh in the lead and directed by Bollywood cinematographer, Ravi Yadav. The movie launch will be held on 19th of this month, at 8 O'clock in the morning at 'Dil' Raju's office premises.

Will 'Puli' and 'Nana Puli' ever come?
In case, if you don't, Mahesh Babu is reminding us the moral again and again. He’s not trying it as a theme in his movie but the dates…postponed dates…again postponed dates…whew! of his film with Trivikram Srinivas ‘Varudu’ stands as the perfect example.
With much expectation, fans are eager but they are being lured and dragged with the launch date which is getting amended ever since a year. The last known news was it is supposed to commence on 18th February. Please spare us for making this latest report which says its on 28th (Huh!). But, as we all are well aware by now, it’s no surprise if one more change occurs. After all, the makers have 365 days in a year to juggle with but fans are already losing their buoyant expectations over the film.
Producer Singanamala Ramesh Babu began two consecutive productions, the first being ‘Komaram Puli’ with Pawan Kalyan under the direction of SJ Suryah. With sixty percent complete, the film is stalled temporarily as Pawan is busy working as president of Yuva Rajyam. Mahesh Babu’s is the next in the line and both these huge budget films are in the shelf since sometime now. Apparently, both these flicks have turned out as ‘Puli’ and ‘Nana Puli’ which might not come, in this case go to the floors for now as far as we know. No one knows when Puli will commence nor Nana Puli will begin for sure. The spirit of fans is draining out slow and with this dilemma they might seek solace in some other way than depending on their stars’ films which are elusive so far.

Vishal to remake Sowryam?
Sources insist that Tamil action-hero Vishal plans to remake Sowryam (also spelled Souryam), the Gopichand-Anushka starrer directed by cinematographer-turned-director Siva and produced by V. Ananda Prasad under Bhavya Creations banner.
Vishal's Satyam, starring Nayantara was simultaneously produced in Telugu as Salute. Both versions did well and now, Vishal is concentrating on his next project, Thoranai. Recently, it is said that Vishal watched Sowryam and liked it so much that he now plans to remake the film in Tamil, starring himself.
Gopichand, who has specialized in playing the angry young man, has enacted his role very well in Sowryam. Vishal, who has so far portrayed similar angry young hero roles in Tamil films, was pleased seeing how the main role had been developed. He immediately contacted the producers and reports say that apart from a few minor changes to suit cultural differences, the original script of Sowryam will remain.
With Vishal's lightning fast moves on screen and flashing eyes, he is sure to turn Sowryam's winning script into a Tamil blockbuster.

The long awaited film of Mahesh Babu, tentatively titled as Varudu, directed by Trivikram Srinivas is finally going on to floors on February 18, but without Parvathi Melton.

Rajnikanth blown away by Naan Kadavul(Nenu Devunni)
Rajnikanth is flanked by Arya (left) and Bala.
South super star Rajnikanth took time off from shooting Shankar's Enthiran (Robot) to watch two highly anticipated Tamil films -- Susindran's Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu and Bala's Naan Kadavul. He came away impressed.
After watching Naan Kadavul, he went to the extent of inviting the director and the actor to his residence to share his thoughts on the movie. So impressed was he by the movie that he praised both Bala and Arya for making such an extraordinary film.
If you remember, it is well known that Rajnikanth frequents Kasi [a district in Varanasi], where a part of the film was shot, to be with the sadhus there!
A visibly thrilled Rajnikanth told Bala, "Only you can make such a movie, Bala. I am impressed and stunned by your presentation."

Pawan's Puli Movie Actress '''Nikesha Patel''''!!!!
Hansika stepped out of Puli citing dates problems and a new actress named Nikesha Patel has stepped into her shoes.
Nikesha can consider herself as very lucky as she bagged a big film that too opposite a big star like Pawan Kalyan. However, none of the heorines who were introduced opposite Pawan Kalyan (Preity Jhangiani, Amisha Patel, Renu Desai, Neha Uberoi etc.) clicked in Tollywood. Hope Nikesha changes this sentiment and shine for few years in Tollywood.

Nayantara in bikini again?
Yes! Nayantara who swept male audiences off their feet with her bikini-clad strut in Billa (2007) will again appear in a two-piece swimsuit in an untitled Telugu film starring Junior NTR (NTR's grandson), the latest sensation in Andhra Pradesh. She replaced Ileana, who was busy shooting for four films and was unable to allocate dates to director V.V. Vinayak.
Nayantara and Junior NTR have started shooting for the film (produced by Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Kodali Nani) at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad; Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music.
Recently, when the heroine was asked why she accepted roles where she was required to wear 'glamorous' clothes, she was quick to reply that since such roles contributed to her rising career, she could not look down on such roles even after becoming a top heroine. Not one to be led by anybody, Nayantara says that though she may listen to her manager and discuss matters with him, she along decides which films she signs.
Galatta.com wishes the sizzling beauty all the best in her future endeavours.

Ram Charan’s film in March
Ram Charan's second film is progressing fast. S.S. Rajamouli has directed this socio-historical fantasy about reincarnation set within a time frame of the past 400 years. Kajal Aggarwal is the bubbly and sensuous heroine.
S.S. Rajamouli, who has made mythological fantasies including Yamadonga starring Junior NTR, has a reputation of churning out hits. With Ram Charan's debut Chirutha being a hit and S.S. Rajamouli being a hit director, the expectations for this movie are riding very high.
Rich graphics and period costumes (for which no expense has been spared) will make this film a pleasure to watch. Insiders say the film is full of action and Ram Charan will be seen riding a horse (he learnt horse-riding specially for this scene).
The film was recently in the news when some reels went missing from the producer's office. A few days later, uncut scenes of Ram Charan's shooting surfaced on the Internet, but were withdrawn almost immediately.
The film makers plan to release the film in March 2009.

Srikanth Addela to direct Chiranjeevi
Srikanth Addela, who rose to fame with his low-budget teenage romance Kotha Bangaru Lokam, has now been roped in by Chiranjeevi to direct promotional films and documentaries focusing on his Praja Rajyam Party (PRP).
Chiranjeevi, who has put in over 3 decades in the Telugu film industry as actor and producer, besides various other avatars, knows that visual presentation goes a long way in impressing his fans. So he has roped in some fresh talent that does not belong to any political camp to window dress his campaign by making some very insightful documentaries and ad films on Chiru and his newly-launched Praja Rajyam Party that would stand out from the usual crop of poll-time promos.
Sources say that Chiranjeevi met Srikanth Addela and conferred with the hot shot director about how best to present Praja Rajyam Party and Chiranjeevi's party ideologies. It seems that Srikanth Addela was brimming over with ideas for the ad films and documentaries that will centre on PRP's political campaign.
These sources also claim that Srikanth Addela is being remunerated handsomely for his work.

Neetu Chandra: Dr. Rajasekhar misbehaved with me
Dr. Rajasekhar's latest find Neetu Chandra recently alleged that the senior hero behaved badly with her during the shoot of his latest film, Sathyameva Jayathe, which is being directed by Jeevitha Rajasekhar.
Neetu's allegations appeared in a Mumbai newspaper and the juicy bit of gossip was picked by the media all over the country. According to the newspaper, Neetu has alleged that though she was suffering from a high fever and had gone to her dressing-room to rest, both Dr. Rajasekhar and his wife barged into her room and started shouting at her to come out and finish her shot immediately. Neetu also said the senior hero was under the influence of alcohol and that both Jeevitha and her husband were threatening her verbally.
A visibly frightened Neetu claimed she was forced to finish her scenes though it was apparent to everyone present that she was very sick. She said that she somehow managed to complete the shoot, rushed back to the hotel where she was staying and packed her bags with the help of her personal assistant. The two then rushed directly to the airport at 2:30 a.m., even though her flight to Mumbai was only at 9:30 a.m.
When the Rajasekhars were contacted, Jeevitha replied saying that it was Neetu who behaved unprofessionally and kept the entire unit waiting for a shoot that was wrapped up within 1½ half hours. The director also maintained that there was no response to repeated phone calls once Neetu had packed and left the shooting spot.
While it is anyone's guess as to what really transpired, Neetu has declared that she will be reporting the matter to the concerned authorities.

Trisha watches King in burqa
Nagarjuna starrer King, directed by Srinu Vaitla and produced by D. Siva Prasad Reddy under Kamakshi Kala Movies banner, was released on Christmas Day and is running to packed houses worldwide. Being Nagarjuna’s last movie of 2008, King was welcomed with a bumper opening and was declared a super hit in the first week.
The movie is receiving rave reviews and public praise all over Andhra Pradesh and even nation-wide. Nagarjuna’s 3 get-ups, Brahmanandam’s trademark humour and of course, effervescent Trisha and dazzling Mamta Mohandas have proved to be a magical mixture that is drawing people to theatres in droves
With all the talk of King, Trisha, one of the queens of Telugu and Tamil films, decided to watch the movie in a theatre among enthusiastic audiences to gauge people’s reactions first-hand. Since her appearance in public would create havoc, Trisha used the age-old ruse of concealing her beauty in a 'burqa' and going to a theatre in Chennai to watch the public being enraptured by King. Safely concealed in the 'burqa', Trisha enjoyed the movie with the rest of the audience, who were unaware of the celebrity in their midst.

Billa starring Ajit and Nayantara was the super-hit of 2007. It is now being remade in Telugu with Prabhas in Ajith’s role. Anushka, the sensuous siren has agreed to play Nayantara’s part along with her daring appearance in the black bikini.
Reportedly, Anushka was okay with wearing a bikini but agreed to do the scene only if the producers gave her a breathtaking Rs. 1 crore. Sources say the producers agreed without batting an eye-lid.
Billa’s shooting happened extensively in Malaysia in what is known as Little India. The treatment of the entire film was very youthful and stylish with a cutting edge to it as appropriate for a mafia movie. Audiences lapped up the razor-sharp cinematography, background music and costumes along with the actors’ sleek good looks and physiques.
The producers of the Telugu version are planning to film the movie in a similar manner. Anushka, whose recent sizzling performance in Baladoor had male hearts racing, will no doubt give a great performance as a mafia don’s moll who out to take revenge. She has acted in her one and only Tamil film Rendu opposite Madhavan, which didn’t make much of an impact at the box-office.
Now that Anushka’s demanded and got her Rs. 1 crore, she has become the second heroine since Ileana to reach that figure.

Sony BMG to grab Komaram Puli
Tagged with international label, Sony BMG music entertainment entered Telugu music market by releasing the sound track of ‘Nenu Meeku Telusa’, their first ever Telugu film music album. Now Sony is bidding for Komaram Puli’s music rights for a huge amount of about Rs 2 crores. It is really surprising to note this giant amount offered by Sony for a regional language film. But the fact is that, Sony, after going through the calculations like Pawan’s earlier film ‘Jalsa’ setting records in its audio sales despite the piracy and online-downloading and also being the only film in the recent past to have earned a lump sum amount with mobile ring tones. This apart the crazy combination of Pawan and S J Suryah, India’s renowned company Reliance partnering this project and the music emperor A R Rahman’s music composition for ‘Komaram Puli’ put together made Sony bid a striking price as it will be benefited by all means. Well, if all goes well and is fine, then Pawan Kalyan will be the real ‘Puli’.
